Newswise — After decades of research, scientists continue to uncover the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids – and there are many more discoveries yet to come, according to a nutrition researcher being honored for his lifetime of achievement in this field.
Bob Gibson, Professor of Functional Food Science and Director of the FOODplus Research Centre at the University of Adelaide, has made a major contribution to the world’s thinking on the benefits to babies of omega-3 fatty acids.
Next month he will become the first Australian to receive the Alexander Leaf Distinguished Scientist Award, an international honour for outstanding lifetime achievement in the study of fatty acids and lipids. Read More Here
